Michelle Perkett Studio Christmas Wishes Blog Hop/Challenge

Welcome to the first ever Michelle Perkett Studio Christmas Wishes blog hop/challenge.  I hope you will find lots of inspriation as you hop along and gaze at all the wonderful ways the ladies have done up their Christmas Wishing Angel.  If you came here from Barbara's blog then you are on the right track, but if you're just passing by you should hop over to Michelle's lovely blog to start at the beginning.  If you happen to get lost along the way you can hop over to the Michelle Perkett group on PCP and into the Blog Hop list forum discussion for the lineup.  You will finish out the hop on the new Michelle Perkett Studio challenge blog.

Let's get on with the reason we are here.  For this hop we were all to create a card using the Christmas Wishing Angel and also make a Christmas wish for someone other than ourselves.  I will start with my card and then I will share my wish with you.

Isn't she lovely. I enjoyed coloring this image and putting the card together. I chose to make it an easel card so the image can stand up and be noticed. The cardstock is from Wal Mart and the DP is Making Memories. I used Bic Markits and Sharpies to color the image. I used Gold and Green Stickles on the stars and flower soft on the sleeves and neckline. I added a little sparkle to the wings with Stampendous Crystal Snow. The Gems that hold the top part in place came from Michael's. I really enjoyed working with this image and had a hard time getting it just right, but I think I finally got it. I'm happy with the way it turned out this time.

Here I tried to get a close up of the Angel.  It's a little fuzzy, but you can get a closer look at some of the details.
Now on to my wish.  I have been thinking about this and can think of many people who need a wish this Christmas season, such as my mother in law who needs a little cheering up and a little less stress or my daughter that this Christmas will be better for her than last year when she was fighting off an infection after her last chemo treatment, but they are being watched after and have been blessed with family and friends to take care of them and watch over them.  So, inspired by my daughter and another little girl I have been reading about over the past few months, I am making my wish for all of the kids who are fighting diseases or illnesses and have to spend their holidays in a hospital bed instead of at home surrounded by family and decorations and presents.  My wish is that they may be able to find some cheer and happiness this Christmas.  That they may have comfort during their trials and that their families will be comforted and cared for during these trying times.  I know the struggle they are facing and it is not a fun one, and believe me it is easy to loose Christmas in the shuffle and not enjoy any of it.  So Merry Christmas to those kids out there sharing these struggles.

Well, we have come to the end of my post.  Now hop on over to Nancy's wonderful blog and see what she has in store for you.

Thanks for stopping by and joining in.
