Hello!! I can still remember the September morning. I had just started my trek to work and turned on the radio to the news. I remember thinking that the radio station was playing some kind of sick joke on their listeners, but by the time I had made the 40 minute drive to work, I realized it was not joke. I just couldn't believe what was happening. We brought a TV in to our office so we could watch the news happening. It was terrible. I had to call my husband and tell him to turn on the news and see what was going on. It was hard to work that day, but we kept going.
I wanted to share a couple of cards I made with today in mind...
First I used this vintage image from TLC Creations for a thank you card.
The DP for this card is also from TLC Creations. I just love it. The sentiment is from Ippity.
This next card is made using a freebie image that Bugaboo Stamps is offering today. Hop over to their blog and check it out.
I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. For the DP I used another paper from TLC Creations and some that I made using the star image from The Stamping Boutique. The ribbon is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by again. Have a great day.

It was a Tuesday, around 8:30 in the morning (EST). I was waking up to the sound of the clock radio. I thought I was dreaming about the end of the world. Then I realized it was the radio and I thought it was a play of some kind; certainly not the news. Finally, I realized it was real and it was really happening. Yes. I remember where I was.
Your cards are fabulous, Rhonda. Thank you for commenting on my blog.
God bless America.

Those are both beautiful cards...and I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news about the twin towers, too. I lived in Canada at the time. It affected us greatly, as well.
Rhonda these cards are breathtaking and so appropriate for the memorial of the day! Lovely job!
HUGS!

Wonderful cards Rhonda, love them!
Lovely cards, Rhonda, and such a beautiful way to honor those who died that day and who serve to prevent it from happening again. It makes me so very sad that we will all always remember where we were that day, and the incredible fear while waiting to find out if loved ones were OK. I was 8 months pregnant with our youngest, waddling around trying to get my son ready for school and keep our toddler out of trouble when I turned on the morning news. I truly thought it was an ad for some new movie, but they kept showing it. It just didn't seem possible it could be real, you know?
