Hello again! I actually managed to get into my crafty corner and do my own crafting. The past few days, every time I start pulling out my stuff my little one would jump right in. It's not very easy for mom to get her stuff done when she has a 3 year old grabbing everything to make her own stuff. Lol. So, the result is you get to hear from me twice today as I try to get a couple of last minute challenge entries in.
The first one is for the Creative Freebie Challenge at The Outlawz. Now, I'm not using one of the current freebies being offered as I've missed the past few challenges, but Sandi told me if I use one of the older ones I had received I could get the current ones and play along. Yay, I'm so excited.
The image is from Anne's Digital Art. I colored the image with BIC Markits than added some white glitter to the "snowy" areas. The DP is DCWV.
For the next one, I am entering it in the February challenge for the Art Journaling group at The Crafter's Cafe. Just one of many great groups we have over there. The theme for February was to use Pastels. I am fairly new to art journaling and must say, I don't do it quite like the others I've seen, but that's what crafting is all about. Right?
I found a plain white page in my Red Smash Book and used some light pink, purple and blue Stampin Up inks to sponge the background. Then I used some images from the Now & Always set from Ippity (Be sure to choose Aletha as your Ippity Chick). I just love the flowers and butterflies in this set. The flowers are Imaginisce. I also used the Rose Butterfly from Whimsy Stamps. The brads are from my stash. I used a BIC Markit to add the stemps and Crayola colored pencils on the butterfly.
Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Both cards are very beautiful. I lvoe the fold on the top card and the way your snow sparkles. Your second card has such a softness to it and it's just beautiful!!!
both cards are gorgeous, Rhonda. I love your sponged background of your journal.
Hugs,
Teresa
Your card is lovely, Rhonda -- I really like how you sparkled up the snow on the top of the cross. Your art journal is totally fascinating to me. I haven't ever seen this done before (guess I'm out of the loop), but wow -- what a marvelous scene you created!
Two fabulous creations my dear!! Love the second card with those pretty flowers!! TFS! :)
Lovely card Rhonda and I think that your art journal page is so pretty... it totally says 'spring' to me! :)
Hello!
It would be such fun to have a 3 year old around! :<) Your projects are lovely! I hope that you had a good day today with the extra 24 we had in February!
