Michelle Perkett Studios Getting Ready for the Holidays Blog Hop

Good morning!  Welcome to my stop on the Michelle Perkett Studios Getting Ready for the Holidays Blog Hop.  If you have arrived here from Sharon's blog you are in the right place, if not you'll want to go back to the Challenge blog and start from the beginning.

For the hop we were all given an owl freebie to work with and here is what I have come up with.  I chose Halloween for my Holiday.

For my card, I printed the owl twice and also printed the Haunted Tree image from Michelle Perkett Studio.  I colored the images with BIC Markits.  I used pop dot to place the owl on the tree.  The DP is from my stash.  For the fence I used my Magnolia Doohickey Heart Fence die and used a pop dot to place the owl there.  The sentiment is also from Michelle Perkett.  I made the card into a double easel card, I found the instructions for this on the All That Scraps Blog.  She did a triple easel card (which I should have done), but I decided to just make it 2.

Here is a side view of the card.  I had to work with it a little to get it to sit right (which is why I should have done a triple easel), but I got it to work finally.

Thanks for stopping, from here you'll visit my daughter, Abby's blog.  She has something fun to share.

Excellent double easel card, Rhonda. I love those fancy folds.

I'm glad you were able to pick up my sentiments today and to hear that you are doing your part to brighten up people's days. It's amazing what the right words can do at just the right time. And what better way to say them than with a lovely handmade card?

Blessings on your day,
Teresa

PS - BTW, I am following you on this blog now.
