Birthday Surprise

Good morning!  I hope you're all having a good week.  We've been having fun here with the kids crafting, playing in the water and going to the park.  They're enjoying their summer break.

I wanted to share the gift I made for my nephew on his birthday Monday.  I had a lot of fun making this and letting the kids help.

We emptied a 2 liter bottle of soda, cleaned it out and took the lable off.  Then I cut a "door" in one side of the bottle, opened it up and put in some tissue paper.  Then I added a few little goodies; a little coloring set, capri sun, air heads, bubbles, etc...  Then a little more tissue paper.  Then we cut some cs big enough to cover the "door" and decorated it using my sweet treats cartridge.  Since his birthday is July 4, I used a red, white and blue theme for the lable.  When he pulled it out of the bag he started pulling off the cap and tried to figure out how to get it all out of the bottle.  It was funny.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

I bet he looked so cute, trying to find out how to open! I received this from my stamping buddy VIA MAIL a year and a half ago!! I was VERY SURPRISED that USPS CAN MAIL this!! Of course, inside, a couple of stamps & supplies, and it took a little while to figure it out! LOL :-)
