Fun tulip cards

I had fun working with this tulip image that was provided by Tracey @ Fred, She Said on the OWH Stars and Stamps Blog a couple of weeks ago.  These were so fun to work with and after seeing a shading tutorial during the bloghop on Sat. I added a little detail to the flowers.  Duh, my brain doesn't always think to add the details.  So here are the cards I made.
First I went with pink.  I used two shades of pink.  I also used 2 different greens for the leaves.  I outlined the overlapping edges and the lines in the middle and bottom, then I went over the top with a lighter shade.  I think it added a little more pop to the flowers.
Then I thought I'd try some purple.  I did the same with the two shades.  I'm having so much fun with these flowers.  Wouldn't they make a great Mother's Day card?  Perfect to send to OWH by their April 1 deadline.

I colored the images with Marvy markers.  The DP and cs came from my stash  The ribbons came from Wal Mart.

Thanks for looking, have a nice day.
