A Valentine treat.

Good morning! I've got a Valentine treat to share with you this morning. I've been having so much fun making Valentine cards and treats, I hope I can find lots of people to give them to. Lol.

For the outside of my card I used the bird image from the Your Friendship set from Ippity, you can find this set at Get Hippity with Ippity. I colored the image with BIC Markits. The DP is Studio G. This time for my treat box card I decided to make a full card instead of a pocket and tag.

Here is the inside of the card. The sentiment and heart images are also from the Your Friendship set. I stamped the hearts with Versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.

Hello! It's been a crazy few days. I've gotten very little crafting done. I do have a couple of Valentine cards to share with you today though.

For this one I used the Hog Wild Over You image from Robyn's Fetish. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is (I believe) DCWV. The ribbon and ribbon hearts are from Really Reasonable Ribbons. The sentiment is computer generated.

GHWI 13 Hearts

Good morning! I'm here to share my inspiration for the current challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity. Our theme this time is Hearts. There must be a heart somewhere on your creations. All the sets used on my creations can be found at Get Hippity with Ippity.

I used the Sweet on You set from Ippity for this card. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is DCWV. The ribbon is Studio G.

For the top of the box I used the Wise Guy set. I colored the image with BIC Markits. The DP is Studio G. The heart glam rock is from Imaginisce. I found the tutorial for the box on Splitcoast Stampers.

For the sides I used the Music of my Heart set. I added red fun flock to the hearts for some added texture. The DP is Studio G.

A couple of Valentines

Hello! I wanted to share a couple of Valentine's Day cards I made using some stamps from C.C. Designs I won last month from All That Scraps. I just love these cute stamps.

On this first card I used the Swiss Brigitta Blowing Hearts. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. I added some Studio G clear glitter glue to the hearts for some sparkle. The DP is Studio G. The seam Binding is from JLJ Designs. The prisma flower was part of a RAK. The pearl and clip are from my stash.

Hello!! I hope you're all having a great day. I wanted to share another birthday card I did the other day. I'm making some progress at getting my stash built back up. Yay. Now I need to make myself focus on some masculine cards. Lol.

I used the Birthday Mermaid from A Day For Daisies for my card. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is from Wal Mart. The prisma flowers were part of a package from a friend. The gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Happy Birthday x 3

Good morning! I wanted to pop in and share some cards I made the other day before the storm begins and the power goes out, which seems to happen every time we have a storm. All the supplies for these cards are from a swap I participated in last month. I finally got around to using some of them. Yay!

Except for the small doily on the first card that I cut with a Spellbinders die, all other supplies were in the package. I don't know any of the companies. I had fun coordinating the papers, ribbons and embellishments to come up with 3 different cards. I think they came out pretty well.

Hello!! I'm excited for our new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe challenge blog. This week we want to see your Anything But a Card creations.

I used the image Audrey's Heart from The Stamping Boutique. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is from Wal Mart. The swirl clip is from my stash. I got the template for the box here.

Here is a card I made using one of the Peek-a-Boo Snowbaby from Belles n Whistles.

I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is from the dollar bin at Target. For the white panel, I used my snowflake Cuttlebug folder and added clear glitter glue from Studio G to the snowflakes. I also added some of the glitter glue to the snowman and the flower and berries on the hats.

Hello!! It's my turn to share some inspiration with you for challenge 12 at Get Hippity with Ippity. This is our sketch challenge for January.

I used the Pain and Pride set. You can find this set on the store blog. I colored the image with Color Wonder crayons from Stampin Up. I then added some Studio G clear glitter glue to his belly, hat brim and fluffy ball. I used a snow marker for the snow. The DP came from the $1 bin at Target. I used my Snowflake Cuttlebug folder on some white cs and added more of the glitter glue. The snowflake and star gems are from my stash. The scallop circle is a Spellbinder's die.

Hello! Wow, I have not gotten off to a very good start this year, have I. It's been hectic around here and we all keep getting sick. Yuck. I was able to get in some crafty time yesterday though, so hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to share with you over the next couple of days.

Today, I'd like to share a card I made for this weeks Chick Challenge sketch.

I used the Thankful for You set for my card. I stamped the image with Stampin Up ink. Then added some Studio G clear glitter glue. The DP is Making Memories. I used the new Spellbinders scallop circle die for the mat to my image. I added the glitter glue to the die and around the outside edge of the card.

Hello!! I'm a little behind getting this up, but starting today we will be having our Holiday Open House at The Crafter's Cafe. There are challenges that were posted this morning, games that will be played all week, each day there will be a door prize and lots of chatting. We hope you'll all hop over and join us.

Now for a little inspiration...

For the inside I used some Stampin Up ink to stamp one of the bigger snowflakes, then I used one of the smaller ones in the corners. I love how it turned out in the middle.

For the outside I used the emboss resist technique with a couple of the smaller snowflakes, then some Stampin Up ink.

Here is what it looks like all folded up. I used another of the bigger snowflakes and some star rhinestones from my stash. The ribbon and bead are also from my stash.

Good News, a little late

Hello!! I'm a little late getting this post up. It was such a crazy week last week. We had some shopping, parties and doctor apts. that took up a lot of our time.

I'm so excited to share with you that I was chosen as a Top Notch Artist at Doodle Pantry. I was so excited when they emailed and asked if I would like to be featured. I was able to choose a new release set to work with and I chose the 12 Days of Christmas set.

Here is what I created with it...

I made a little tag book with the images. This was so much fun. I cut the tags out using my Sweet Treats Cricut cart. The DP is from The Paper Studio.

I asked for the black and white version of the set and colored the image using BIC Markits and copics.

I printed the words separately and adhered them to the backs of the tags.

For the very last tag I added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the set.

I used the new Your Friendship set from Ippity on my card. I just love the bird in this set. I colored the image with BIC Markits. I embossed a piece of white cs for the triangle pieces and inked them with some Stampin Up ink.

Easel Post-it card

Good morning! I wanted to share another card I made for my Secret Santa gift. This was a fun card to make and my kids want to make them for their teachers for Christmas.

I got the instructions for this card from Marianne at StampArtic (I tweaked it a little to use the 3x3 post-it pad). The image is Air from Michelle Perkett Studios. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics. The DP is Color Bok and the seam binding is from JLJ Designs.

Here is what the card looks like when it is folded.

My base card measurements are 12"x4 1/4" instead of 12"x 6". For the Post-it pad I cut it to 4 1/4" square and scored 1/2" in on all for sides. From there everything else is the same as Marianne's directions.

I used a template from Creations by AR to create this votive candle holder. The image is from The Stamping Boutique from the Snowfriends image. The whole image was too big, so I cut the center snowman and used him. I colored the image with BIC Markits. I punched the snowflakes with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch. The DP on the roof and snowflakes is from The Paper Studio.

Some CAS Christmas cards

Ok, it's crunch time. Dec. 1 is in 2 days and I'm still not finished with all my Christmas cards. Yikes. I decided I'd start trying some CAS layouts and see if I could get them done before the first week of Dec. Think I can do it? We'll see.

Here are the layouts I've tried so far...

For this one I used and ornament stamp and punch from Stampin Up along with a Stampin Up sentiment. The DP is from my stash. I used a white gel pen to add some lines around the edge and added a paper clip and some baker's twin to the ornament. I used gold embossing powder on the ornament also. (I got the idea for this from this video by Catherine Pooler, but I changed it up a little.)

I used the same idea on this card, but punched the ornament out of the DP and stamped it right on the cs base. I'm not quite as happy with the way this one turned out.

For this card I used a freebie Christmas background sentiment from Dawn C. as my main focus. The DP is from The Paper Studio and used some Stampin Up ink on the edges.

I used the same basic layout on this one, I just changed the background cs around the image and used a ticket punch on the corners. The image is from Beccy's Place.

GHWI Embossing Challenge

Hello! I'm here to share my card for the current challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity. The theme is embossing. I just love using my embossing folders.

Here is my card...

I used the Thankful for You set. You can find it in the GHWI store blog. I used Stampin Up ink for the images. I then cut them out and added some Hero Arts prisma glitter around the white circle. I used one of my Cuttlebug folders for the background. The ribbon is from Stampin Up and the gems are from my stash.

I also wanted to give you a few reminders...

The TCC November Thank you/Thanksgiving Kids Challenge will end on Saturday so be sure to get your kids' creations uploaded before then.

Our last challenge for November began today and will end next Monday. The theme this week is a recipe.

Hello!! I have been trying to get this post up all day, but have been running around like crazy instead. I'm glad to finally have a few minutes to sit and play.

I have another fun Christmas card to share with you today. I'm getting so excited for the Holiday season. I've been listening to Christmas music in the card as hubby isn't quite ready for that yet, and can't wait to start watching Christmas movies with the kids. I've been working like crazy trying to get my cards done before Dec. 1. I always like to send my cards out early in Dec. so the recipients can enjoy them longer.

Ok, enough jabbering. Here is my card.

Let me tell you, it has been a crazy week. I feel like I can't get anything done. Yikes.

Monday my DD was supposed to have an MRI, hearing test and follow up with the oncologist. Well, they got her IV in strapped her to the MRI machine and started the scan. Then the tech says, as hubby and I are walking out, wait did you remove all metal from her? Of course we had, but the machine was showing metal. We looked and tried 3 different times and still it showed metal which was blocking the scan area. Off for an x-ray we went, to find that there was something in her nose. Yeah, my beautiful 3 year old had stuck a metal bead up her nose. So, needless to say they cancelled the scan and follow up with the doctor, called an ENT to remove the bead and did get in her hearing test. What a day. We didn't get home until almost dinner time. Since then I have not been able to get myself caught up on things. Ooops.

I do have a couple of cards to share that I did over the weekend. Yay.

I used a Christmas sentiment from TLC Creations for the main focus. Then I colored the Little Christmas Angel from Whimsy Stamps using BIC Markits and Copics. I added some Hero Arts Prisma Glitter to her dress and some fun flock to her wings. The DP is from My Mind's Eye. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The gems are from my stash.

I made this one similar to the first one. The sentiment again is from TLC Creations. The image is from C.C. Designs. I colored the image with BIC Markits and Copics then added some clear glitter glue to the star for some sparkle. The DP is My Mind's Eye and the gems are from my stash.

Hello yet again. I am here with a card for this weeks challenge at Unity Opportunity Challenge. The theme is to make a Cool card/layout/project. Here is what I have come up with.

I used the new Pain and Pride set from Ippity. I colored the penguin with Crayola colored pencils. The DP is from JLJ Designs and The Paper Studio. I added some Hero Arts Prisma gliter to the snow and around the edge of the circle and used my snow marker to puff up the cuff and puff ball on the hat. Then I used my white gel pen to add some dot around the scallop circle.

Hello again!

I'm here with another card to share with you. This one is for this weeks Monday Greeting Card challenge at The Outlawz. The theme for this week is Give Thanks, there must be a sentiment on the front of your card.

I used the Fall For You set from Ippity. I stamped the lines with Stayz On Jet Black ink, then I stamped, colored and cut out the 2 pumpkins. I matted the stamped piece to some DP and cute a small border then tied some brown baker's twine from Martha Stewart Crafts around that. I adhered the pumpkins, popping up the second one on pop dots. The sentiment is from There She Goes Stamps. All DP is DCWV.

Here is my card for the Twisted Thursday Card. The theme this week is Fancy Folds.

I used my owl punch from Stampin' Up to make 2 owls on the front of my Joy Fold card. The DP is from The Paper Studio. The poinsettia flower is from my stash.

Good morning!! Did you all make it to our Kicking off the Holidays Digi Day last night? Sadly I missed it, but it sounds like they had a lot of fun. Along with the party we started 3 new challenges last night that will run until next Saturday, Nov. 12. Here are the samples I created for the challenges.

There's a Sparkle and Shine challenge...

For the first one I used this cute snowman image from Fresh Brewed Designs. I colored the iamge with BIC Markits and added some Hero Arts Prisma glitter to the snow and part of the snowman. The DP is from The Paper Studio. For the background I ran some white cs through my snowflake Cuttlebug folder. The brrr bling is from Creative Charms.

I'm entering this card in the Monthly Challenge and celebration at Fresh Brewed Designs.

On this card I used Louise and Candycane from Guylou's Inimitability. I colored the image with BIC Markits and added glitter to the red stripes on the candycane and the ball and cuff on the cap. The DP is from The Paper Studio. The bling snowflakes are from Creative Charms.

I used a new fold on this card. I found the instructions for this fold on Julie's blog, Stamps, Paper, Ribbons n Things.

We also have a Holiday Treats challenge...

I made this jar of treats. I did the actual jar a while ago by etching a Christmas tree shape on one side. Then I added some Hershey's nuggest and tied on a tag using some MS bakers twine. I made the tag using the Farm Jar from The Stamping Boutique. I colored that image with BIC Markits then punched a hole at the top to thread the twin through.

Here is a closer look at the tag. I wrote Merry Christmas in the banner by hand.

I am entering this in the current Monthly challenge at The Stamping Boutique.

For this card is used this pumpkin cupcake from Jen's Digi Stamps. I colored the image with BIC Markits. The DP is DCWV. The bakers twine is from Martha Stewart Crafts and the sentiment is from Ippity. I added some faux stitching to the die cut shapes.

And last, but not least (lol), is our Gift Wrap challenge...

First I made this little box. I decorated it with some digi papers from the Tidings of Christmas paper pack from JLJ Designs. Then I added the Nutcracker Bear, also from JLJ Designs. I colored the image with BIC Markits. I also inked all the edges of the box with some brown chalk ink.

Here's a side view of the box.

Next, I made this box using some papers from the Traditional Christmas paper pack from JLJ Designs. I tied it shut with some green ribbon and added a tag from Digital Delights using some MS bakers twine. I colored the tag with BIC Markits.

Hello!! I wanted to share a really simple card I made the other day. I was thinking of a card to make for kids and found some fun paper in the DCWV Playtime stack. When I got the paper on my card to use as a background, I decided it could stand on it's own and didn't add anything. So, here is my card...

Isn't that just a fun little scene all by itself? I love it.

Now, onto the real reason we're all here. Lol. I happened to glance at my followers list the other day and realized that I now have over 200 followers. So, I thought I would celebrate with some blog candy. Yay.

Good morning!! I'm here to share another card I made with the Music of My Heart set from Ippity. You can find this set on the Get Hippity with Ippity store blog.

I stamped the image and sentiment with Basic Black ink from Stampin' Up. I embossed the card base using my dot Cuttlebug folder. The ribbon, gems and flower are from my stash.

Halloween Swap

Good morning!! I'm popping in to show you what I received for the Halloween Swap I participated in at Scrapper's Delight. I was so excited to find it in my mailbox yesterday.

She made me this cute little mini album.

Some of the pages had small little pockets on the front with tags in them.

Here's the card she sent with it. I tucked it in a little pocket on the inside of the front cover.

Each page was a pocket itself and these are what was tucked into those pockets.

Isn't this just the cutest? I can't wait to add our Halloween pics.

Happy Halloween

Hello!! I'm a bit later than I wanted to be getting my post up today, but my kids had activities they wanted to do this morning. Now that that's over and we have a few minutes before I have to get them some dinner and head out trick or treating, I'll share my post. ***Warning, it's kind of a long post, lol.***

I don't have a new Halloween card to share, so I thought I would share a few pics from some of the fun Halloween stuff my kids have been doing over the past few weeks. We've been busy.

On these first pictures. Every year at a local historical grist mill they have a Pumpkin Walk. They do all kinds of activities for the kids, there are pumpkin decorating contests using the theme for the year, food, craft booths, and hay rides. It's a lot of fun and a lot of the stuff is free or pretty cheap.

For the next pics, my dad had a Halloween party for all the grandkids. We had dinner, crafts and games for all the kids as well as a pinata and costume contest. They had a lot of fun.

Then they had an activity with the primary at our church to pick pumpkins from the stake pumpkin patch. They really liked that.

And, finally, on Friday, my sister had a party for all the nieces and nephews and a few friends. She made french bread pizzas, make tortilla chips by cutting out Halloween shapes from flour tortillas using cookie cutters, games, crafts, and treat. The kids had a lot of fun there.

I hope you're all having a Happy Halloween with lots of safe fun.

A fun Christmas Card

Hello! I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. Can you believe it's only 2 months away. Yikes!

I used the new Piper and Her Snowman and Wonder of Christmas stamps from C.C. Designs. I colored the image with BIC Markits, then I used my snow marker along the edge of the snowman and on Piper's cuffs and earmuffs. Once it dried I used my heat gun to puff it up. I used red embossing powder for the sentiment. The DP is from My Mind's Eye. The snowflake brad is from my stash.

Cookie Recipe Swap

Hello!! I wanted to share a couple of recipe cards I made for holiday cookie recipe swap I signed up for at Paper Wishes.

For the first one I used a recipe card template from Deedee's Digis. I added a cookie image from Digi Drawn that is part of round 5 of the progressive freebie challenge at CDAC. I colored the image with BIC Markits. I cut out the recipe card and mounted it on a 4x6 piece of cs and added some dashed lines on the top and bottom.

For this second one. I used the same recipe card template and added a gingerbread cookie image from The Stamping Boutique. I colored the image with BIC Markits and used my Snow marker around the edges. I puffed up the "snow" with my heat embossing tool.

I can't wait to get the book of recipes back and see what yummy cookies I can try. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

CDAC Progressive Challenge round 5

Hello! I wanted to show you my first card for round 5 of the Progressive Freebie Challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center.

I used this Thanksgiving Turkey image from Sew Many Cards. I colored the image with BIC Markits. For the background I made an Iris folded pumpkin. To add something more to the card I did some faux stitching around the green cs and outlined the pumpkin.
